Today we received low quality photocopied advertisement allegedly authored by Starbucks that claimed the recipient could walk into any Starbucks and receive a complimentary iced grande beverage. Having recently received something similar in the mail I thought it might be true. This advertisement, however, came via email *and* has an expiration date set for September 30th, 2006. The only limitations are one beverage per person per visit. Now this looks too good to be true. Free Starbucks for a month? I called the Starbucks customer relations department and sure enough it is legitimate, at least for now. The story goes that this email was intended for a smaller locale, but, explained the representative, “email travels quickly”. There doesn’t seem to be any distribution limitations so I’ll go ahead and link the pdf
here.
